The first steps with NFC
‘Galaxy on ICE’ with Samsung (2011)
tuomi has been developing its own NFC software solutions since 2009. When one of the largest smartphone manufacturers integrated the technology into its devices in 2011, we were one of the few providers in this segment. Thanks to our many years of expertise in cloud computing, we were able to quickly create new innovative offerings.
A milestone was the Samsung employee fair Galaxy on Ice, where thousands of visitors were enthusiastic about the tuomi NFC solution. The NFC app for kids was the successful launch of NFC technology from tuomi.

Accessibility at Stadtmuseum Simeonstift (2014)
Some of the biggest advantages of NFC: intuitive operation, durability and low susceptibility to errors. Since 2014, Dorengo has been the reliable companion at exhibitions.
Dorengo provides barrier-free digital content at the Simeonstift City Museum in Trier. Following the successful use of an
NFC-only guide, further functions were added. Working together with
Trier University of Applied Sciences, we integrated a programme for
visually impaired visitors. All this while normal visitor operations
continued.
Dorengo becomes well established
The special maritime exhibition with over 20,000 visitors (2015/16)
Life at sea was the focus of a joint special exhibition "Of swords, sails and cannons" which took place at the Landesmuseum Schleswig-Holstein (Gottorf Castle) and the Maritime Museum Finland (Kotka) in 2015/16. Perfectly supported by tuomi’s NFC technology.
480 pieces of content, images, texts and video, seen at 180 NFC stations, in six languages, over 1,200 pages in all and all realised in just two months. Our technology shines in every respect The digital booklet replaced all previous analogue aids in the exhibition.
