Dorengo infoguide combines history, architecture and more
The ‘Kulturkapellen’ (cultural chapels) project of the Catholic Adult Education Centre in Trier uses digital networking to make chapels in the diocese more accessible and engaging. Using smart signage with NFC and QR technology, as well as the Dorengo Infoguide, visitors can easily access information about the chapel they are in. And there is also an overview of all the other chapels included in the network. The project is ongoing, and more and more chapels are becoming a part of the network.
The platform offers detailed information on the architecture, furnishings, interior views, church services, events and history of the chapels as well as their location. Visitors can easily access the multimedia content on their smartphones (BYOD). The Catholic Adult Education Centre Trier uses Dorengo’s own flexible and sustainable content maintenance system. By combining tradition and modernity, the cultural chapels of the diocese become accessible to all.
The Catholic Adult Education Centre (KEB) of the Diocese of Trier has initiated and financed a project to create a mobile information service for churches and chapels.
Information can be accessed quickly and easily at any time by scanning a QR code or NFC chip with a smart phone.
If you want your chapel included, all you have to do is provide us with content such as texts, images, videos or audio files and they will be available immediately.
Network your chappel with other participating chappels in the Diocese of Trier. Using their smartphones, visitors can access information at any time. It is a great way to draw attention to upcoming events in your chapel.
We provide you with a plaque that has customised lettering and an integrated QR code/NFC chip. The information you want presented can be called up simply by scanning the code or chip.
The information is maintained in our content management system. The flexible templates have been designed according to the specifications of the project managers of the Catholic Adult Education Centre Trier. It is completely up to you to decide which content you would like to present. Our modular system gives you many possibilities for digital storytelling.
And adding further content is possible at any time and free of charge.
In the greater Trier region, up-to-date digital information is available at more and more chapels and churches. And visitors can see upcoming events in the digital “chapel guide”. You can be a part of it too!
Many village churches and chapels no longer have a contact person on site who can tell visitors when the next service will take place, what exciting stories there are about the chappel and what events will be taking place soon. The “Kulturkapellen” project by tuomi and Catholic Adult Education Centre Trier (KEB) is changomg that. A sign with a QR code and NFC tag ensures that visitors can access exactly this information at any time. All they have to do is simply scan the QR code and the “chapel guide” opens up on their mobile phone. No app needed.
Currently there are 14 chapels taking part in the programme, with more to be added next year. You want your chappel to be a part of the project? We would love to have you. Feel free to contact us! You can find more information, including costs, here in the flyer.
