Pottery in Dornburg has a tradition that goes back to the Weimar Republic. Many important ceramists learnt their craft and honed their skills in Dornburg and pottery is still important here today. With a captivating digital journey Dorengo guides visitors through a hundred years of pottery history.
A special highlight of the exhibition: a children’s guide was developed and implemented by a school class - in just one week! Using Durengo’s simple content management system (CMS), the students were able to create the guide themselves and fill it with multimedia content such as audio and images. The child-friendly guide is not only available in German, but also in several other languages, so that international visitors can also discover the history of the Dornburg pottery tradition.
For an accessible experience, Dorengo offers adaptations for people with impaired vision such as the ability to enlarge text sizes and adjust the colour scheme. Loan devices and a native app are available for the perfect on-site user experience, while the web app allows visitors to experience the exhibition digitally on their own devices (BYOD).
