Networked chapels in the diocese of Trier

The “Kulturkapellen-Projekt“ (Cultural Chapels Project) of Trier Catholic Adult Education Centre uses digital networking to make the chapels in the diocese more accessible and engaging. With the help of smart signage that uses NFC and QR technology, together with the Dorengo Info Guide, visitors can get information about the chapel they are standing at. At the same time, they also have access to an overview of all the chapels in the diocese that are a part of this project – and that number is still growing.
The platform offers detailed insights into the architecture, furnishings, interior views, church services, events and the history of the chapels and their location. Users can easily access the multimedia content on their own smartphone (BYOD). The Trier Catholic Adult Education Centre uses Dorengo’s own flexible and sustainable content management system. The project is a great combination of tradition and modernity that makes the chapels of the diocese accessible to everyone.
